For Susie
Audio Fiction
For Susie is a piece of audio fiction I wrote and produced in 2015. It is a short story inspired by something I was told growing up and later found out to be false, it deals with relationships and mortality.
Aside from the vocal recordings made to create this piece, I also used found sounds and environmental recordings, combined with hardware and software synthesizers in order to make an atmosphere that I felt communicated the intention of the story.
It won the Hearsay International Audio Festival prizes for best Student Produced piece and Best Irish Produced piece. It was subsequently broadcast on Australian Radio National ABC's show PocketDocs.
